About
THE VAULT
The Vault is an episodic anthology series inspired by Stan Lee’s unpublished archive. Each story highlights the talents and resilience of young people navigating a rapidly changing world shaped by technology, modern threats, and everyday challenges.
While Stan Lee is best known for creating iconic superheroes, he also believed that heroism exists within all of us. In The Vault, the heroes aren’t superhuman—they’re ordinary young people with exceptional skills, flaws, and determination. When faced with extraordinary circumstances, they rise to the occasion—and that’s how legends are made.

THE TEAM
The Vault is a development of Talesphere Studios, a joint venture between Kartoon Studios and Aeth Entertainment, for the creation of live action entertainment geared towards youth and family audiences.

In 1980, he joined DIC Audiovisual in France, where he co-created Inspector Gadget in 1982 and went on to produce more than 5,000 episodes of award-winning children’s programming. Today, as a leader at Kartoon Studios, Heyward continues to develop and license major brands such as Stan Lee Universe, Baby Genius, and Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club. A pioneer in educational television, he helped establish the first voluntary programming guidelines for children’s TV in collaboration with the National PTA, NEA, UCLA, and the FCC, and has produced extensive educational content and public service campaigns. His achievements have earned him multiple honors, including two Emmy Awards, numerous nominations, and induction into the KidScreen Hall of Fame. Heyward remains active in philanthropy and mentorship, serving on the board of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and supporting UCLA’s mentoring programs.
A significant influence on Heyward’s career was his longstanding relationship with Stan Lee, who served as both a mentor and close friend over several decades. The two collaborated extensively, sharing a vision for expanding storytelling across new media platforms. In his later years, Lee entrusted Heyward with stewardship of his creative legacy, reflecting a deep level of trust in Heyward’s ability to honor and extend his work.
